JP24 (Japan)

Introduction

Advance Filing Rule (JP24) requires vessel operator or an NVOCC to electronically submit to Japan Customs information on maritime container cargoes to be loaded on a vessel intended for entry into a port in Japan, in principle no later than 24 hours before departure of the vessel from a port of loading. The rules are being implemented on March 10, 2014.

Cargo Manager Systems, Inc. has developed an application called JP24 which allows you to enter file and bill of lading information into CMS database, send it to NACCS (Nippon Automated Cargo Consolidated System) and receive responses.

When you receive and error you need to address it timely as your cargo many not be loaded or even worse it may be disallowed to be discharged at a Japanese port.

Work in Progress section lists all bills of lading which have not been filed, have errors or have not received a response from NACCS.

JP24 uses several coding structures specific to Japan. If you need a new code created send a request by email to support@cargomanager.com.
